Due to the potentially volatile and sometimes corrosive nature of certain chemicals, these tank cars were designed to feature tougher construction and a specialized dome to provide greater protection for both the contents of the cars and those handling them. The Bachmann Chemical Tank Car incorporates new and existing tooling to replicate these cars in N Scale and includes different dome styles per prototype, authentic paint schemes, E-Z Mate® Mark II couplers, and blackened, machined metal wheels.
